Tenth Annual First in the Nation Suffrage Celebration

August 27, 2025 - 1:00 pm Minnesota State Capitol Bldg.

3rd Floor - Conference Room 316 75 Rev. Martin Luther King Blvd., Saint Paul 55155
Each August 27th we come together to celebrate America's First 19th Amendment Voters. These trailblazing Minnesota women cast their ballots in South St. Paul on August 27, 1920. In 2025, we are delighted to gather at our State Capitol in a joint celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Minnesota Woman Suffrage Memorial and Garden. It is also our pleasure to announce the League of Women Voters of Minnesota will be the recipient of the 2025 Pass the Torch Award in recognition of their 105 years of citizen education and voter service. Please join us for a dessert reception featuring a presentation on the history of the MN Woman Suffrage Memorial and a Suffrage Sing-a-Long, followed by a guided tour of the memorial and garden. This inspiring event is handicapped accessible and free to the public. Get Full Event Details Download a PDF Event Flyer Questions? Send an e-mail to: Celebrate@Suffrage-19.com
