Tenth Annual First in the Nation Suffrage Celebration
Event Details: Wednesday, August 27, 2025 1:00 pm Minnesota State Capitol Conference Room 316
On August 27th, we invite you to join us as we celebrate America's First 19th Amendment Voters, the 25th Anniversary of the Minnesota Woman Suffrage Memorial and 105 years of dedicated public service from the League of Women Voters of Minnesota.
This event is handicap accessible and free to the public. All ages are welcome.

Schedule of Events
On Wednesday, August 27th at 1:00 pm, we will gather in the air conditioned comfort of Conference Room 316 on the Third Floor of our beautiful Minnesota State Capitol Building. A dessert reception will greet us featuring lemonade, cookies, fruit, bars and gluten-free treats.
Our program will include a presentation about the origin of the Minnesota Woman Suffrage Memorial--the first public monument to recognize our nation's first 19th Amendment Voters from South St. Paul.
We are honored this year to bestow the Pass the Torch Award to the League of Women Voters of Minnesota for over a century of citizen education, voter service and nourishment of our democracy. We will also join our voices in a few Suffrage Songs!
Weather permitting, we will conclude our celebration with a guided tour of the Minnesota Woman Suffrage Memorial and Garden in the Lower Mall of the Capitol Grounds (corner of Martin Luther King Blvd and Cedar Street.) For More Information, Please E-mail: Celebrate@Suffrage-19.com
