Eleventh Annual First in the Nation Suffrage Celebration

Schedule of Events

6:00 pm - Thursday, August 27, 2026 On Thursday, August 27th at 6:00 pm, we will gather in the air conditioned comfort of the Historic White Bear Lake Armory (2228 4th Street.) A dessert reception will greet us, featuring lemonade, cookies, fruit, bars and gluten-free treats. We will also have an opportunity to view the "Who Can Vote?" exhibit, provided through a partnership between the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society and the League of Women Voters of the White Bear Lake Area. 6:20 pm - Multimedia Presentation: "Minnesota's Trailblazing Women Voters" Followed by the 2026 Pass the Torch Award Ceremony 7:20 pm - "Suffrage Stroll" and Suffrage Sing-a-Long Weather permitting, we will walk two blocks to the historic home of Suffragist Emily Gilman Noyes (1854-1930) for Lemonade and a Suffrage Song Sing-a-Long beside the lake.
